life in all its fullness
a seedling emerges,

Why God, why?
My mind is full up
Full up with festering,
disturbing images,
sounds,
memory
raw,
weeping,
bloody red,
each visit from my past,
like a scab being ripped off,
re-finding, re-opening that.

This past is forgotten by others
scares healed, memory lost


When Lord,

when will you enfolded into the arms of peace and wholeness
when?

can hurt
locked into memory
long playing record
grove scratched deep into soul, head

leaking
each word
cutting to the bone, nerve.
