12th August 2018

Intercessions
Wild God, come, come feed us with the bread of life
Disrupt,
disturbed
and challenge us to become the people you intended us to be

Lord, we hear your call
We will hold your people in our hearts.

Wild God, by your spirit that goes in and out and around
That flows through the wilderness out into the land full of milk and honey
take us by our small trembling hand and engulf it in yours, then move us to the people and places you call us to love.

Lord, we hear your call
We will hold your people in our hearts.

Jesus our Bread of Life, you call us to tend the poor and the lame, we bring before you those people who are suffering, hurt or scared due to war, famine or through the effects of global warming, Lord make us your instruments of peace in this world of great hurt and longing to see your Kingdom come.

Jesus bread of life, we pray for healing, reconciliation and peace in the world,
we long for
truth
stability
hope

Inspire us Lord to help forward your kingdom here on earth, to prophecy into those dry bones to ready ourselves for your work, and will, right here, and right now.

Lord, we hear your call
We will hold your people in our hearts.

We bring before you those who are hurting today
For those who are just coping
For those wishing today never come

Lord, we hear your call
We will hold your people in our hearts.

We pray, God’s will be done in and through us his church here on earth, let it be so!

Prayers - All are welcome in this place

Intercessions Feb 07

When I say ‘All are welcome’ please respond with ‘All are Welcome in this place’
Father God, help us to build a house where love can dwell, where everyone can feel truly welcome and safe no matter
who they are,
or where there from,
their status in life,
their sexuality,
their health be it physical or mental,
Remind us always that no matter who we encounter they bear the image of God’s face

All are welcome

Father God, help us to build a house where prophets speak, words strong and true.
Help us to be a church that speak out on issues that affect the communities we live in, to fight for the rights of those who are vulnerable and seek to be advocates for a just and equal society.

All are welcome

Mother God, let us build a house where all are named, their songs and visions heard, where doubts and questions are welcomed and not pushed aside, a place where people of other faiths and none feel able to speak about their understanding of God and engage with others to learn more.

All are welcome

Mother God, let us build a house where hands will reach beyond the wood and stone, help us to be a church that listens to you and those we seek to serve, help us to be a place of healing where stories can be heard and acknowledged, where no judgement will be found, just Christ’s gift of unconditional Love for all.
As we go from here, help us remember your call, to love those we love, but also love those we are called to love.

All are welcome

Loving God, help us to reimagine our understanding of Church, that the church be likened to scaffolding, the point of the church being to build the kingdom.

Help us Loving God not forget about building your kingdom and instead spend so much time polishing, preserving and fussing.

Help us to serve you in ways that please you

All are welcome
